Uni 2009 (Year 2)

Busy Busy Busy

I haven't even had the time to have a proper catch up with my best friends muchless time to BLOG!!

I've only been back at uni for about 2 months and i've already had SOOO much on...

I've just completed 5 weeks of intensive (9-5) drama rehearsals which ended in 3 performances of commedia dell arte

commedia dell arte in a nut shell for all you non performing arts people**

(commedia dell arte is basically panto using masks)

to be completly honest i didn't really enjoy it because its really not my fortay but we did have an awesome piece to show at the end of it...

I've also been directing a 20 minute drama performance which will be showed and assessed next week (shitting it considering i haven't had much time to rehearse with my actors =/)

I also have my drama essay to START AND my directing portfolio to be completed in less than 3 weeks time =/ FML

On top of that i'm in one 3rd year drama show and two 3rd year dance shows and have just this week started my 6 week dance intensive which will lead up to a final performance at the end of the month.

So yeah.


I've got a LOADD on aha but once thats all over and done with i'm basically off uni untill february!!

I'm also WELLLLLLLLL looking forward to enter shikari in february in glasgow :)

it's going to be A MAZINGG >_<

i'll leave it at that for the time being because i've gotta do some sit ups and press ups before bedtime..

found out today i may have to perform in my dance piece in a bra and hot pants HAHA

When i started this blog i vowed not to neglect it like i have done in the past....but my laptop decided to be a CUNT && stop working o_O .

But it's all good now though because i've had him (Derek the Dell) repaired:)

i guess i'll start from the weekend before i went back to uni :)

That weekend has been one of the BEST weekends i've had in a very long time.
Simon came out with Laura,Wingz,Paris && I over the weekend,
we ended up going Quebec, Superfly && SOPHBECK<3>_< ANYWAYS

i've been back in Carlisle for 2 weeks now && i finally enrol back tomorrow!! I've basically spent the past two weeks wearing a green fresher's helper t-shirt showing the freshers how to party in Carlisle lol. i must admit the first week of freshers this year is absolute shite compared to last year...but tbf last year my year group were the freshers ;] the past two weeks have just been spent:

• Moving into my AMAZING new house xD
• Getting Wasted
• Getting Pissed
• Trashing My Room (this is a longggg story LMAO)
• Having Laura Dee Up to Visit For a Couple of Days :)

The past two weeks have been well hectic but once i start back at uni && such i'll be blogging a lot more :)

so i'm sitting here sipping on green tea deciding where to start =/ i haven't a clue...

i'm currently at the University of Cumbria (2nd year) in Carlisle (20 minutes down the road from scotland) studying
*BA Joint Honours Dance and Drama Performance*
after graduating in 2 years...my plan is to move to london to do a postgraduate course in dance, whilst doing this i'm hoping to join some acting, dance and modelling agencies to find work and to chase the dream.....*rolls eyes* you're probably reading this rolling your eyes too...but performing arts is all i know & i'm determined to make it somewhere.

i would not be content with my life if i ended up a 30 year old single mother with like 6 kids, living in a council estate in fricking leicester...no thanks...
i hope in ten years time i'm not in leicester, i hope i'm not in england for the matter....

New York or Los Angeles would do me quite well thanks :)
anyway, i'm not going to bore you with stories of how terrible my childhood was,
or what i've been through..*
but what i will say is that i wouldn't be the person i am today if it wasn't because of my past (corny as fuck right?)

i have 2 brothers, no parents and a fuck load of friends

and i wouldn't have it any other way.
my friends are my family :) as well as my brothers of course :P
it's currently 3-15am and i'm wide awake damn insomnia is a bitch...

i really need to get it sorted out before i move back to carlisle/start uni (14 more sleeps :)

haha should be a good year though because this year we get to put on shows...FINALLY :)
it kinda sucked because last year we didn't get to hold actual performances on the stage, the only 'performances' we had took place in the rehearsal studios which sucked ass =/
i've gotta start thinking up concepts & shiz for my 3rd dance and drama originals as well.....

oh the stress of being a performing arts student :)
